Lucknow: After doing well in the Bihar assembly elections, Asaduddin Owaisi had announced that his party AIMIM will contest 100 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the 2022 assembly elections. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now reacted to his recent announcement. Recently, CM Adityanath has called Owaisi a big country leader and said that BJP will win the 2022 assembly elections. In fact, in a recent statement, Yogi Adityanath said, "Asaduddin Owaisi is a great leader of our country. If he has challenged the BJP for the 2022 assembly elections, BJP workers accept his challenge. There is no doubt that the BJP will form the government in Uttar Pradesh in the 2022 assembly elections.''

Owaisi had announced last Sunday that his party AIMIM will contest 100 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Last Sunday, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi had said, "They will contest the assembly elections in UP in association with Om Prakash Rajbhar-led Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and smaller party alliance partnership Sankalp Morcha.'' In fact, the Hyderabad MP tweeted in Hindi announcing, "His party will contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.''

Though Owaisi sends a message on social media in English, this time he tweeted in Hindi. He has decided to field the candidate. According to him, the party has started the process of selecting candidates. At the same time, he said, "We have also issued the candidate application form. We are with OP Rajbhar Saheb, Sankalp Morcha. We have not spoken to any other party about elections or alliances.''
