New Delhi: Asaduddin Owaisi, president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, recently called UAPA a stricter law. He said, "UAPA is a bad law which is used against innocent Muslims, Dalits and those who question the government". In a recent tweet, he wrote 'Let’s be clear, UAPA is a draconian law that’s only used to imprison innocent Muslims Dalits & dissenters. For decades ‘radicalisation’ has been used to torture & stigmatise Muslim & Dalit youth. Hard to believe that this is going to be a genuine “religion neutral” exercise '

In his second tweet, he writes, 'BJP’s Union minister garlanded lynchers & its terrorism-accused MP expressed her devotion to Gandhi’s killer.' He also said, 'Hindutva association is against the representation of Muslims in parliamentary politics. Because only Muslim representation in Parliament and legislatures can challenge the Sangh.

In a Tweet he wrote, 'Hindutva is built on the lie that only one community should have all political power and Muslims should have no right to participate in politics. Our greater presence in Parliament and legislative assemblies will act as a challenge against the Hindutva Sangh, if we can maintain our presence, we will celebrate. As you know, Asaduddin Owaisi has got 5 seats in Bihar and now he is preparing to contest elections from Bengal as well.
