New Delhi: Amidst the protests across the country against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that it is our right to protest, but we strongly condemn the violence. Whoever is involved in the violence is opposed to the whole demonstration. There should be protest, but it will be successful only when peace will be maintained.

Owaisi said this while attending the meeting of the United Muslim Action Committee in Hyderabad. In this meeting held in the AIMIM headquarters, Owaisi has said that we should strongly oppose the CAA, but a peaceful protest should take place after the permission of the police. Yesterday, citing violence in Lucknow and Mangaluru, he said that if there is any kind of violence, we will automatically get separated from it.

Meanwhile, in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Congress has staged a demonstration outside the home of Home Minister Amit Shah. Activists of Delhi Mahila Congress protested outside the home of Home Minister Amit Shah. Congress workers were demanding that the CAA law be withdrawn. The Delhi Police has closed three metro stations.
