NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha on Thursday debated the triple divorce bill. Asaduddin Owaisi, an MP from Hyderabad and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, strongly attacked the central government in protest against the bill. Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi said that marriage in Islam is just like a contract, don't make it with your births. Asaduddin Owaisi began his speech in a blunt manner.
"I stand against the bill for the third time and will continue to protest against the bill as long as life is there. Owaisi said the triple talaq has been put under the category of crime by this government. Who will then raise the victim? Owusi said that islam has an niqanama, you also have a condition that if someone divorces three, he will have to pay 500 times more fine to the woman. Owaisi then said that marriage in Islam is merely a contract and you are saying that birth is together.
Owaisi said that if a Muslim man accidentally divorces three times, nikah is not broken. Owaisi claimed that there are 9 types of divorces in Islam and three divorces are only one of them. In protest against the triple talaq bill, Owaisi said it will increase the burden on the woman as if the husband goes to jail, then who will pay the victim.
