New Delhi:-   Indian businessman Ashneer Grover is the former co-founder and managing director (MD) of the Fintech firm BharatPe. In 2018 he co-founded his BharatPe with Shashvat Nakrani and Bhavik Koladiya. He rose to fame after appearing as an investor in the reality show Shark Tank India Season 1. He was born and raised in Delhi. His father was a Certified Public Accountant (CA) and his mother was a local school teacher. He himself completed his primary education in Delhi. He graduated from the Delhi Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. During my graduation, I was selected by the Delhi Institute of Technology for an exchange student program at INSA University of Lyon, France. Moved to France in 2002.

In 2004, IIM enrolled in the MBA program in the finance sector in Ahmedabad. IIM He joined Kotak Investment Bank, Mumbai as Vice President through a Campus Internship in Ahmedabad. After that, he worked for various companies such as Grofers, PC Jewellers Ltd., and American Express. In 2018, Ashneer Grover, along with Shashvat Nakrani and Bhavik Koladiya, launched the BharatPe app, which has been downloaded over 1 billion times on the Play Store. Also, he is one of the most used payment applications in India today.

Ashneer Grover is married to Madhuri Jain Grover. She is also an entrepreneur. She was the designer of her interiors and worked with well-known brands such as Satya Paul and she Alok Industries. She also ran her own home furnishings store called Mauve and Brown. She has also worked with South Indian actress Asin and her husband Rahul Sharma. She also completed the interior design of her home in Delhi.  

After graduating with an MBA in Finance in 2006, Mr. Ashneer's excellent academic performance earned him the opportunity to serve as Vice President of Kotak Investment Banking. As part of his work as an investment banker, he worked on various of his IPO deals. He left the position in 2013 after working for about seven years.

In May 2013, he joined American Express as Corporate Director. After working here for about two years, he quit his job to do something else. Ashneer joined Grofer in March 2015 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). After working for a period of time, he left in August 2017.

After retiring from Grophers, Ashneer took time off to meet and network with various investors. She then joined PC Jewelers as Head of Business in November 2017, helping develop payment strategies and other options that contributed to the overall development of the business. She resigned in October 2018.

In 2018, Ashneer came up with the idea for her BharatPe, a payment app that quickly became one of India's most popular apps. He founded Bharatpe with Shashvat Nakrani and Bavik Koradiya. Headquartered in New Delhi, the company is one of India's leading fintech companies. However, after some controversy, Ashneer stepped down as CEO and director of the company on February 28, 2022.
