Jaipur: Ahead of the scheduled meeting of the Cm of all the Congress-ruled states in New Delhi on Monday, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has said that he is responsible for the defeat of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and he meets Congress National President Rahul Gandhi in this regard will display  solidarity.

"All CMs of Congress territories will meet Hon'ble Congress President Rahul Gandhi at his residence to show solidarity," Gehlot tweeted. "Even before we all said that we are with Hon'ble Congress President Rahul Gandhi and take responsibility for the 2019 defeat," Gehlot said. We firmly believe that only those in the present scenario can lead the party," Gehlot said.

He said Rahul Gandhi's commitment to the well-being of our country is incomparable and unmatched. Ashok Gehlot said that the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have not been a defeat for the Congress' programme, its policy and ideology. "However, it was very unfortunate to see this even after the failure of the Modi government on various issues including the declining economy," he said. He said the BJP managed to hide its failures with the help of huge resources and government machinery behind its hardline nationalism.
