Jaipur: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Rajasthan, CM Ashok Gehlot held a meeting with Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. This meeting lasted about 1.30 hours. After the meeting, he announced that he would not contest for the post of Congress President. Not only this, he said that he is very sad about what happened in Rajasthan, he is also very hurt and for this, he has also apologized to Sonia Gandhi.

According to the report, after Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot will also hold a meeting with Sonia Gandhi. They have been camping in Delhi for the last 2 days. Meanwhile, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has received the nomination form for the election of the Congress President. He said that he will file his nomination tomorrow i.e. the last day. With the retreat of Gehlot, it is believed that now the path of Diggi Raja has been cleared. Let us tell you that, like Gehlot, Digvijay is also considered very loyal to the Gandhi family, so now he can become the Congress President.

Let us inform you that on Sunday, 82 MLAs supporting Ashok Gehlot submitted their resignation to the governor and said that if Sachin Pilot becomes the CM, then we will not accept it. It is worth mentioning that the strategy of the Gandhi family was that Ashok Gehlot should become the national president and leave the decision of who to make the chief minister in Rajasthan to Sonia Gandhi. But, the tussle between the Congress leaders over the chair has increased the difficulties of the Gandhi family.
