New Delhi: Today is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Speaking on the occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has launched the Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) by giving a gift to PM Modi. Yes, let me tell all of you that under this scheme, 50,000 candidates will be trained over a period of three years. It is also being said that 1000 candidates will be trained initially. The training will be conducted on four trades including electricians, welders, machinists, and fitters.

It is said to include 100 hours of initial basic training. Addressing thousands of training youth at 75 workshop centers across the country today, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, "The scheme will not only improve the employment capacity of the youth but also improve the skills of self-employment and who are working with contractors through re-skill and up-skilling and contribute to the Skill India Mission.'' In fact, hundreds of youths interacted with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav through video conferencing at the Work Shop of Western Railway at Lower Parel in Mumbai.
"Based on regional demands and assessment of requirements, training programs will be added by zonal railways and production units in other trades.'' At the same time, it was said, "The training will be provided free of cost and the participants will be selected from the applications received online following a transparent mechanism based on marks in the matriculation.''
Who can apply- Tell all of you that 10th pass candidates between 18-35 years can apply through on the basis of this training, there will be no claim of those participating in the scheme getting employment in railways. On the other hand, the program course has been developed by PU Banaras Locomotive Works, the nodal for the scheme, which will standardize the evaluation and maintain the centralized database of the participants. Let you all know that this scheme is initially being launched for 1000 participants.
