New Delhi: Earlier this week, the ODI World Cup schedule was released, and the highly awaited clash between India and Pakistan will once again be the one to watch out for.

This week brought the announcement of the ODI World Cup schedule, and the biggest matchup between India and Pakistan will once again be one to watch out for. On October 15, there will be a match between India and Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Both teams had already played each other during the T20 World Cup in Australia the previous year, with Virat Kohli's epic inning helping India defeat Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ashwin recalled the mid-pitch exchange he had with Kohli during the victory over Pakistan last year, with all eyes on the anticipated match in Ahmedabad.

Ashwin came into bat with two runs needed off of one delivery,Before scoring the go-ahead run to give India a well-known victory.

"When I walked at the MCG, I realised the enormity of what I was getting into. I haven't witnessed such an atmosphere and crowd ever. In regard to the game, Pakistan overcame a wobbly beginning to record a formidable 159/8.

In response, India was struggling at 31/4 at one point before Kohli single-handedly ended Pakistan's chances of winning. He batted just 53 balls and scored an undefeated 82.

When India and Pakistan will play in the opening match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, all eyes will be on Kohli once more.

Eight teams have qualified for the 46-day event through the Cricket World Cup Super League, and the winners of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe will fill the final two seats.
