State that the BJP's alliance includes the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL). Out of the total 126 seats in the state, BJP is contesting 93 seats, AGP 29 and UPPL 11 seats. A total of 126 assembly seats in the state recorded 82.04 percent polling. There was no major violence in the state during the elections, though there was a hue and cry over EVM at one or two places. The big thing is that the BJP has not declared the face of the CM post here. Sarbananda Sonowal is currently CM on behalf of BJP but this time BJP did not declare CM face.

In this electoral battle, Congress-led the UPA, and the NDA promised development in the state. The Congress had opposed the CAA and NDA fought an election battle on the issue of illegal infiltration. Election results in 4 states and 1 Union Territory as well as Assam will be clear in no time.
