Guwahati: The BJP seems to be winning the Assam assembly elections unilaterally once again. In Assam, the BJP alliance is returning to power with an absolute majority, while the Congress alliance seems to be shrinking to its old figure once again. PM Modi's face and development work in 5 years was an important reason for the BJP's return, while the efforts of party general secretaries Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to return to power for the Congress alliance seem to be turning the tide. It is said that the Assamese have not liked to break Priyanka Gandhi's tea leaf.

A total of 126 seats have been elected in the Assam assembly elections. In the trends so far, the BJP alliance is leading in 85 seats while the Congress alliance seems to be getting 40 seats. At the same time, 2 seats appear to be going to the account of others. In a way, the BJP seems to be repeating the same results as in the last election. On the other hand, it was no use for Congress to form an alliance with AIUDF, BPF, and the left party this time.

The Assam assembly elections were held by Congress rebel Priyanka Gandhi. He had given the responsibility of Assam elections to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Baghel was camping in Assam and had engaged all the leaders of his state. Even then Baghel and Priyanka's efforts could not work. Though Priyanka Gandhi had thrown all her mighties here and the party's condition seems to be weak.
