Neeraj Bishnoi, the main accused in the "Bulli Bai" app case from Assam's Jorhat, has threatened the Delhi police with suicide.
"He has attempted suicide twice and is threatening to do it again." The IFSO team of Delhi police, which is handling the probe, stated that "due care is being taken of him." Right-wing fanatics allegedly utilised the infamous "Bulli Bai" app built by Neeraj Bishnoi to 'auction' Muslim women.
"The accused has confessed that he knows the authors of 'Sulli Deal,' the app that auctioned Muslim women." He has also admitted to having access to Sweta Singh's user account, which has been confiscated by Mumbai police," said Delhi police DCP of IFSO – KPS Malhotra.
"Bulli Bai" was a rip-off of "Sulli Deals."'Sulli' is a derogatory slang term used by right-wing zealots in India to refer to Muslim women. According to the Delhi police, the accused, Neeraj Bishnoi, has been a "habitual hacker since he was 15 years old."
"He has previously hacked and defaced websites of various Indian and Pakistani institutions and colleges," said KPS Malhotra, DCP of the IFSO special unit, who led the whole operation to arrest Bishnoi. His charges of hacking school-related websites are being investigated by authorities."
