On Monday evening, an employee of the Cachar Deputy Commissioner's office was detained for allegedly being involved in a land scam. Raju Seal, who works as a fourth-grade member of staff at the DC office, was detained.

He was arrested in connection with a case filed by Titu Mazumdar, who claimed that numerous properties he owned in the Berenga region had been illegally transferred without his consent. In October 2021, he filed a complaint with the Silchar Police Station.

Based on Mazumdar's complaint, the police launched an investigation, which resulted in Raju Seal's arrest. She was allegedly upset after being denied permission and had gone to extremes.

Regardless of the fact that she was taken to a hospital after being discovered by her parents, doctors declared her dead. The police, on the other hand, have started an inquiry to determine if she committed suicide or if the incident was a murder.
