Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday handed over 2 robots for food and medicine to the principal of the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH). Sonowal handed over the medical equipment during a function held at the John Berry White Auditorium in AMCH in Dibrugarh.
Addressing the gathering the Assam CM said, “I thank the frontline warriors and health workers who have been providing invaluable services to the public during the pandemic.”He also thanked the various departments and organizations of Assam who have relentlessly contributed towards fighting the pandemic. He further said, “The Rotary Club has immensely served mankind and I request its members to work towards developing sports, culture and education in their future endeavours."
Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Rotary Club of Dibrugarh, District 3240, Rotary District 3240 and Rotary Club of Dhaka Royal, Bangladesh – District 3281 under support Global Grant sponsored the grant. The Rotary Club will be subsequently hand over medical equipment like ventilators, ICU beds, syringes, infusion pumps, monitors, air purifiers, and self-checking kiosks to the medical college.
