Assam govt extends lockdown till June 22, but will get these concessions

Guwahati: Assam's Himanta Sarma government on Tuesday reviewed corona cases and extended the lockdown till June 22. During this period. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has issued the order and signed by Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah. That is, restrictions will now be in force from 5 a.m. on June 16 to 5 a.m. on June 22.

Meanwhile, ASDMA said that the status of corona in the state has been reviewed and it was observed that the number of covid infected patients is declining in some districts, but the overall situation is still uncertain. Also said adequate measures are necessary for both urban and rural areas to prevent Covid 19 across the state. On the ban, ASDMA said that work on government and private offices, shops, restaurants and other business establishments has to be stopped an hour before the curfew begins and different times have been given in different districts.

The ban to prevent corona virus infection has divided the state into three categories. Kamrup Metropolitan includes the city of Guwahati, where curfew time has been relaxed by one hour. It will start at 2 pm and continue till 5 am the next day.
