Guwahati: PM Modi is poised to secure his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India, said Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora. Speaking in Guwahati, Bora, who is also the president of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), asserted that the enduring "Modi wave" continues to sweep across the nation. Bora's confidence in Modi's re-election was underscored by his recent participation in a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting, where he was personally invited by BJP President JP Nadda.

Bora highlighted the remarkable development initiatives undertaken in Assam under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. In contrast, Bora criticized the Congress party's previous tenure, emphasizing their lackluster performance during their extended rule. He emphasized that the populace would rally behind the NDA due to the tangible progress achieved in the past two years.

On the other hand, as preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections gather momentum, the AGP convened a pivotal General Council Meeting in Guwahati. During this meeting, vital decisions were taken to fortify the party's presence across the state and devise a comprehensive strategy for the impending Lok Sabha polls.
