Guwahati: The final list of National Civil Register (NRC) in Assam was released on 31 August. 19 lakh 6 thousand 657 people were excluded from this list. At the same time, the names of 3 crore 11 lakh 21 thousand 4 people were found in this list. Today, on Saturday, the final list of NRC has been released online, so that every person can easily check their name in the list.

To see your name in the list, you can click on https://nrcassam.nic.in/ or see your name in the final list by going to the link https://assam.gov.in/. For this, you will have to enter your application reference number and captcha code in the website, after which you will be able to see the status of your name in the list. Each family member in the online list can now check their final status online. At the same time, those who have dropped out of this list need not panic.

Recently, the Central Government made it clear that people whose names have been omitted or not even included in the final list, will have to appeal before the Foreign Tribunal. For this, they will have 120 days. In the past, the time period for appeal in foreign tribunals was increased from 60 to 120 days. As per the new deadline set by the government, people can file an appeal by 31 December this year.
