Guwahati: The police caught the miscreants who was cutting ATMs with gas cutters in the locker area of Gorchuk police station area of Guwahati in Assam on Sunday. While his other companions managed to escape. According to the police, the Gorachuk police, which were patrolling at around 4 am on Sunday, spotted some youths in suspicious condition around the ATM booth in Satakuchi area of Lokhara.

When in doubt, the police went inside the ATM booth and saw that a young man was engaged in cutting the ATM machine with a gas cutter. The police arrested the youth from there, while his other accomplices escaped. The arrested youth has been identified as Arif. He is originally a resident of Haryana. Police have recovered material such as gas cutter, gas cylinder, hand globs, screw driver, wrench etc. from the scene. The police is registering an FIR in this regard and is actively searching for other miscreants.

Let me tell you that on Saturday too, a team of miscreants tried to robbery in Bank of India in Lalmati area under the nearby Vasistha. The miscreants tried to open the bank locker, but could not succeed.
