Corona is wreaking havoc all around the world. The northeastern states also have been facing this deadly virus. Assam reported three more Covid-19  patients on Monday. With the inclusion of these cases, the state's death toll reached to 1,020 while the total tally increased to 2,15,510 after the detection of 101 new cases. So far, a total of 2,10,962 patients have recovered from the disease in Assam.

State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday shared this information on Twitter and said the cases were detected out of 24,139 tests. Sharma wrote, “101 Cases detected out of 24139 tests conducted today with a positivity rate of 0.42%."The state’s positivity rate is 0.42%, the health minister informed. Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district has reported 35 cases.

The percentage of the recovered cases in Assam is 97.89%. Assam currently has 3,525 active Covid19 patients, which is 1.63% of the total cases registered in the state. With the demise of three more patients on Monday, Assam’s death toll increased to 1,020. Talking about India, the nation recorded 19,556 fresh cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the lowest daily rise since July, and 301 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union health ministry’s data showed on Tuesday morning. India’s active caseload has also dropped to 292,518, the lowest in 162 days.
