According to the notification, from December 20, 2019, the Bangarmau assembly seat in the Unnao district has been declared vacant.

Kuldeep Sengar is charged under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping or harassing a woman to force marriage), 376 (rape and other related sections) and Was convicted under Paxo. Sengar was expelled by the Bharatiya Janata Party on August 1, 2019. Kuldeep Singh Sengar is guilty in the 2017 rape case in Unnao and is serving a life sentence in the case. On June 4, 2017, the victim accused Sanger of rape and attempted self-immolation in front of CM's residence in Lucknow.
