Khagaria: A shocking incident has been reported from the Khagaria district of Bihar in which criminals committed a major incident of loot in broad daylight at Bandhan Bank, located on Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Towan police station area of the district. Fearlessly, six criminals entered the bank and took all of them into their possession with weapons and looted about Rs 35 lakh and fled. The criminals first assaulted the security guard and injured him and then entered the bank. They looted Rs 35 lakh kept at the cash counter and fled. It was immediately reported to the police.
As soon as the incident came to light, police from several police stations, including Sadar SDPO Sumit Kumar, reached the bank and started investigating the case. Sadar SDPO Sumit Kumar said that along with the persons present in the bank, the criminals also carried out the robbery and the criminals fled with Rs 35 lakh from the bank. Police have started investigating the case. Bank employees are also being questioned.
The cashier of the same bank said that four miscreants came inside the counter. They started looting on the strength of weapons. He was assaulted when he resisted and also snatched the key from the safe. Thereafter, they looted all the money kept on the counter and the safe and fled. Since this incident, there has been a commotion in the police station. Police said the culprits are being identified on the basis of CCTV footage. The culprits will soon be arrested. The number of criminals involved in the incident is said to be six.
