Asus unveiled Zenfone 6 Edition 30 for the company's thirtieth anniversary

Considering Asus’s past antics, which include many phone variations that bore the same name, we were very surprised to learn that there was only one Zenfone 6 when it debuted globally a couple of weeks ago. If you, too, were ill for another version of the phone, which was supposed to be official, today the company provided it.

Meet the Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30, presented at Computex in Taiwan. To be fair, it’s not just a version with a different specification that will be sold under the same name, so Asus doesn’t actually return to its old trails. The name is longer because the purpose of this phone is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Asus.

Thus, it will be a limited edition - only 3000 copies will be released. It will have VIP benefits and an exclusive 30-month warranty, but the main additions to this model are, of course, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of built-in storage.

If you reveal what, as we can only assume, will be the most expensive for this phone (Asus has not yet announced prices), you will also receive an exclusive color and design of Matte Black with a “iconic pattern in the form of concentric circles in the style of Zen” and “ distinctive Edition 30 logo.

Otherwise, this is the same Zenfone 6, which we talked about for several weeks. It includes an impressive flip camera with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 125-degree field of view. The smartphone has just received a record rating for a selfie camera from DxOMark.

You'll also get a Snapdragon 855 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery, and the standard Android 9 Pie software along with a 6.4-inch 1080p + display without chipping.
