Nowadays cases of rising crime are all shocked. The case, which has recently come to light, is from Udalgiri district in Assam where a 3-year-old child was rescued while his family was about to sacrifice him on Sunday. According to sources, the family took the decision after getting into a fake Baba affair and tried to sacrifice a child after praying at the temple. When 2 villagers came to know about it, they informed the local police about the incident.  The police intervened at the right time to rescue the child. However, when the police intervened, the family turned violent and tried to attack them with sharp weapons.

According to ANI reports, the police had to resort to firing to bring the situation under control. In the incident, the family head member Jadab Saharia and his son Pulkesh Saharia were injured in the firing. Later, he succumbed to his injuries at Guwahati Medical College. According to the police, the family also attacked the locals with a sharp weapon.

A villager told ANI that the incident took place at the home of Jadab Saharia, a government school teacher. Saharia was sacrificing his child to relieve his wife from illness. Reportedly, the family was involved in a fake Baba affair, which was identified as Ramesh Saharia. He fled to Baba after the incident. However, the police controlled the situation and rescued the child.
