Vijayawada: Corona cases are increasing rapidly in India. Former Minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA K Atchannaidu found corona positive. He is currently in judicial custody. K Atchannaidu is being treated at Ramesh Hospital in Guntur. Atchannaidu had a cold since last Wednesday morning and when he was tested for corona, he was found infected with coronavirus after which he was rushed to the hospital.

The hospital has been submitting the health report of K. Atchannaidu to the High Court every week. Meanwhile, the hospital has now told the court on Thursday that "TDP leader Atchannaidu has been found Corona positive". Atchannaidu is undergoing treatment at Ramesh Hospital right now. His family, fans and TDP activists are praying for his quick recovery.

Atchannaidu was arrested by ACB for the scam in the purchase of ESI medicines. On 12 June, he was taken into custody in Nemmada, the ancestral village of Atchannaidu. He was the Labor Minister during the TDP regime and the ACB has questioned and detained some other officials in this case.
