Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh police are raiding places in search of former Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and fugitive wife Shaista Parveen and sister Ayesha Noori, both sisters of mafia boss Atiq Ahmed. For the last two days, the UP Police have been conducting searches in the Cachar area of Prayagraj. However, Shaista has yet to be traced. At the same time, the police have received information that Shaista used to collect extortion from Delhi's Shaheen Bagh (which came into the limelight due to the anti-CAA movement).

Police are raiding various areas of Prayagraj and neighbouring Kaushambi districts in search of Shaista Parveen, who is said to be the mastermind of the Umesh Pal murder case. These locations include all the possible locations, including the homes of relatives of Shaista and Atiq, where they are expected to be hiding. On Wednesday (April 19, 2023), the UP police raided several places in Kaushambi. Even the police used drones to search for Shaista. Actually, the police had received information that some criminals were hiding in the foothills of the Ganges. After this, the police ran the operation for about 2 hours. Even after this, it is becoming difficult to trace Shaista with the Rs 50,000 reward. UP STF DIG Anant Dev Tiwari had said that the police were having difficulty finding her because she was in a burqa.

There is also news that Atiq's sister Noori and about a dozen burqa-clad women are accompanying Shaista. Shooter Sabir also follows her like a shadow. They are changing their location all the time. It is even said that Shaista changes her phone number every day so that she can stay away from the police. At the same time, a lot of information has come out of Delhi's Shaheen Bagh regarding Atiq. According to media reports, Rs 15 lakh was collected per month from Shaheen Bagh. This money was used to reach Atiq Ahmed's wife, Shaista Parveen.

Actually, the police had taken Shahid into custody. He has told this to the police. Not only this, Shahid had given the new number of Atiq's son, Asad, to the UP STF. After this, the UP STF reached Jhansi through surveillance. It is also being told that those who gave shelter to Asad gave information about him after he came into the custody of the police. On April 13, 2023, the UP STF killed Atiq's son Asad and shooter Ghulam in an encounter in Jhansi. Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were murdered while being taken for medical treatment on the same day, i.e., on the night of April 15, when Asad was buried in the cemetery of Kasari-Masari.
