AAP MLA Atishi, who won the Delhi assembly elections has said that his party's doors are always open to 'good people' of other parties. Provided they are not corrupt or communal and they have no criminal case. Significantly, Atishi has been made in charge of the Aam Aadmi Party in Goa. She has arrived here to strengthen the party's base. He said that his party wants to emerge as an alternative to Congress and BJP and can win the 2022 assembly elections in the coastal state.
In her statement, Atishi further said that the party has not closed its doors to the 'good people' of other political parties. We have always said that our doors are open to good people of other political parties. It would be ridiculous to say that good person are only in AAP.
Apart from this, Atishi said that his party is completely clear about its criteria to include leaders and workers. Our party will never be someone who has a corrupt, criminal or communal background. We are open to leaders and workers of other political parties, who have fought for the people. At the same, Atishi also said that there is a need to take a lesson from the party's defeat in the 2017 Goa Assembly elections. From the Goa experience, what we learned is that we did not have any grassroots organization during the 2017 elections. The party's campaign was talked about and there was public support. But, we did not have any grassroots organization and we could not build the construction.
