Controversy erupted ‘Minister TS Deo could get me killed,’ alleges Congress MLA after attack on convoy

Jaipur: Like Rajasthan and Punjab, the Chhattisgarh Congress is in turmoil. Cm Bhupesh Baghel and health minister TS Singh Deo are in a tug of war behind the scenes in his cabinet. Congress MLA Brahaspati Singh has raised the political mercury of the state by accusing Singh Deo. MLA Brahaspati Singh from Ramanujganj in Balrampur district has blamed Singh Deo for the attack on his convoy.

Congress MLA has termed his life as a threat and alleged that 'Maharaj' may get him killed. He said, "If Singh Deo can kill me and become CM, he should be given this post." He said TS Singh Deo continues to insult other Congress MLAs. He said he will take up the matter with the party's interim president Sonia Gandhi and also place it in the legislature party meeting. Brahaspati Singh said, "I will complain to Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge PL Punia, Assembly Speaker, Vice President and demand action in the matter."

According to the report, a convoy of MLA was attacked in Sarguja on Saturday (July 24, 2021). The glass of his car was broken and his security personnel was also assaulted. Police have also arrested three persons in connection with the incident. A senior police officer said, "We have registered FIR against some people under the Atrocities Act and other relevant sections. We are investigating the matter.”
