Chandigarh: After DSP Surendra Bishnoi was crushed to death by a truck in Nuh Mewat, a Muslim-dominated area of Haryana, the mining mafia has once again attacked the police. The police team had gone to stop illegal mining, in the meantime, stones were pelted at the police. Three policemen were injured in the attack. Police have registered a case against around 60 people in connection with the case.

In fact, on Thursday, the mining department and Mewat police received inputs that illegal mining was being done on a large scale in Baded, a borderline village of Punhana, adjoining Rajasthan. As soon as the police and mining department raided the spot, the mining mafia pelted stones at the police party and mining officials. Seeing the situation getting tense, the police party and mining officials had to somehow escape and save their lives.

Mewat ASP Usha Kundu has said that Mewat police have registered a case of illegal mining and an attempt to kill against 50 to 60 people and started an investigation. Now it will be worth seeing what action is taken on these 50 to 60 people. The Mewat police have also seized a huge quantity of explosives along with three poclain machines being used in illegal mining from the spot, the ASP said. At the same time, many police personnel and mining officers have been injured in the sudden stone pelting. Let us know that after the murder of DSP in Haryana, the police took strict action, yet the terror of mining mafia is not stopping. The police are being attacked by the mining mafia every day and the government is expected to take strong steps.
