In the film Manikarnika - Queen of Jhansi, Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the lead role, also tele actress Aankita Lokhaande will play Jhalkari Bai, who was known as the shield Rani Laxmi Bai. Now as per the development, Atul Kulkarni has been roped in to play the role of Tatya Tope. 

Atul talking about it stated, "This is something I’ve never done before. I am doing all my sword fighting stunts myself. My body-double hired to do the stunts just sits around on the sets doing nothing." 

For few days back, Kangana got an injury, when we spoke to Kangana about the injury, she said, "I am a bit embarrassed to be thrilled to have a battle scar on my face. Also, people from my team have been telling me that it's like that Peshwa teeka that Manikarnika wore. It's a bit dramatic but I am excited that my face was covered in blood and I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen's life."
