New Delhi: Germany's luxury vehicle manufacturer Audi is preparing to introduce the new A3 sedan. Test mules of the updated vehicle, partially camouflaged, were seen taking a test drive in the cold weather.

Minor changes to the front fascia and new bumper design are expected to improve the looks of the upcoming four-wheeler. The model should probably debut by early 2024.

The A3 has served as the base model for Audi's "A" class sedans worldwide since its introduction in 1996. The vehicle is currently one of the best selling models of the automaker.

The four-wheeler offers agile ride and handling characteristics while maintaining high levels of safety as it is built on the modular MQB platform developed by Volkswagen Group. The business intends to launch a new version immediately.

The exterior of the upcoming Audi A3 will be overall similar to the current model and features a large black grille, a raked windscreen, a sloping roofline, a muscular hood and attractive LED headlights.

Designer wheels, flared wheel arches, blacked-out B-pillar and ORVMs will surround the sedan. The rear will be adorned with shark-fin antennas and wraparound LED taillights.

The automaker is yet to release the technical specifications of the new Audi A3. However, we expect the saloon to be powered by a mild hybrid 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 horsepower and 320 Nm of peak torque.

The interior of the Audi A3 facelift is a secret. The sedan is expected to feature a spacious five-seat interior, a minimalist dashboard, premium materials, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting, a wireless charger, Audi's Virtual Cockpit and a large touchscreen infotainment system .
