Recently the Aurangabad Mission Green Mobility initiative was launched by the Marathwada Auto Cluster, with the city aiming to acquire 250 four-wheeler EVs by the end of March this year. According to a media report, the paperwork for roughly 150 electric cars has already been completed, according to Munish Sharma, Chairman of the Marathwada Auto Cluster.

The two-tier city is in the initial phase of a project to promote electric mobility among city residents, with plans to acquire 250 electric vehicles. It also plans to purchase 500 electric three-wheelers, 1,000 electric two-wheelers, and 50 electric buses for various reasons including loading and passenger transportation. According to CMIA former chairman Ashish Garde, they would be introduced in Aurangabad and sections of the Marathwada area. EVs will be available for test drives at seven locations around the city as part of this effort, he said.

Sharma stated in the outset that 250 electric vehicles will be purchased by people from various industries. "So far, we've completed the basic procedures for nearly 150 automobiles of their choosing," says the spokesman "Added he. He went on to say that having EV charging facilities in two-tier cities like Aurangabad may just take a short period. "However, because of the large number of electric vehicles accessible here, the infrastructure can keep up with us if we conduct such significant activity." "Sharma explained.

Concerned agencies have also been addressed for pricing, special service, insurance and interest rates, and loan-related advantages, according to CII office-bearer Prasad Kokil. "This is a move taken with the help of communal knowledge. This move is a commitment to future generations of clean water, air, and soil," Kokil remarked. According to a recent report, the country's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station was opened in Gurugram on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway. The new charging station has a capacity of 100 four-wheeler charging stations.
