Melbourne: A charity cricket match was played on Sunday in Melbourne among the legendary cricketers from all over the world, which was named Bushfire Bash. The match was played between Ponting XI and Gilchrist XI. Ponting XI batted first in this match. He scored 104 runs for 5 wickets in a fixed time of 10 overs. Captain Ricky Ponting scored 26 off 14 balls and Matthew Hayden scored 16 runs off 14 balls.

Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds played a great game for Gilchrist XI when the innings came to play. Watson hit 30 off 9 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Symonds scored 29 runs in 13 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Adam Gilchrist hit 17 off 11 balls. When Symonds was on the field, it seemed that Gilchrist XI could have won the match. At that time Gilly's team needed 21 runs off 12 balls. But Symonds retired to give other players a chance to bat.

Total four runs scored in the ninth over. After this, Gilchrist XI needed 17 runs to win in the 10th i.e. the last over. Daniel Christian's 7 came off the first five balls of this over. Now 10 runs were required on the last ball. Christian's sixth ball was a no ball, on which Revolt hit a four. Now five runs were needed to win on the last ball. Revolt was able to score only three runs on this ball and his team lost the match by one run.
