Hampshire: Australia defeated England in a close second Women's ODI, which was an exciting match between the two teams. In addition to the stunning victory, the touring team also kept the Women's Ashes 2023.

Australia was given the opportunity to bat, and Alyssa Healy got things going right away. Ellyse Perry was instrumental in the success of the innings, anchoring it with a solid 91 runs off 124 balls, including 9 fours and 1 six.

Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland both produced significant contributions of 33 and 50 runs, respectively, while Beth Mooney provided 33 runs off 42 balls. In a last burst, Georgia Wareham scored 37 runs off just 14 balls, including 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Australia eventually scored a respectable total of 282 runs in their allotted 50 overs, losing 7 wickets in doing so.

In response, England stayed in the game thanks to significant contributions from its great batsmen. Tammy Beaumont contributed significantly to the team by scoring 60 runs off 62 balls, including 8 fours.

Natalie Sciver was the star performance for the hosts as she nearly pulled off a surprising victory. The captain Heather Knight made 12 runs off 19 balls.

Nat Sciver scored 111 runs off 99 balls, including 10 fours, in a sensational performance. The other batters in the lineup, however, made little progress. Although Amy Jones contributed 37 runs off only 34 balls, the lower middle order was unable to increase the scoring rate.

With a final score of 279 runs for the cost of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs, England almost missed the mark.

Gardner and Alana King were Australia's standout bowlers, both taking three wickets. While King only bowled her allotted 10 overs, Gardner bowled impressively, giving up 54 runs in her 10 overs. Georgia Wareham contributed with a wicket as well.
