Melbourne: The second Test of the 4 match series between India and Australia is being played at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australian captain Tim Paine won the toss and decided to bat. Australia's first innings was all out at 195 on the very first day of the match. After this, Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal started the innings for India.

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets from India. Mohammad Siraj, who made his debut from this match, took 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja also managed to take a wicket. Australia's last two wickets fell within 5 balls. Bumrah trapped Nathan Leo by LBW on the fifth ball of the 72nd over. He scored 20 runs off 17 balls. On the third ball of the 43rd over, Ravindra Jadeja ended the innings by sending Pat Cummins to the pavilion. Cummins was caught by Mohammad Siraj on the score of 9 runs.

Earlier, Australia suffered the 8th setback as Mitchell Starc. Jaspreet Bumrah got Stark caught by Mohammad Siraj on the very first ball of the 68th over. Stork returned to the pavilion after scoring 7 runs in 8 balls. Nathan Lyon replaced him at the crease. Australia was hit one after the other at a score of 155. On the fourth ball of the 62nd over, Mohammed Siraj trapped Cameron Green. On the last ball of the next over, Ashwin caught Tim Paine at the hands of Hanuma Vihari. Australia is leading 1-0 in the 4-match series.
