Australian opener David Warner has scored a brilliant triple century in the second Test of the series being played between Australia and Pakistan. He scored a triple century on the second day of the Adelaide Test match against Pakistan. He has become the second batsman to score a triple century in the history of day-night Test matches. Also, this is Warner's highest score in Test cricket. Warner completed 300 runs four times on the first ball of the 120th over of the innings. Warner hit 37 fours for this. Warner hit 39 fours and a six in his unbeaten innings of 418 balls.

Azhar Ali of Pakistan was the first to score a triple century in the day-night test. Azhar Ali scored an unbeaten 302 against the West Indies on 13 October 2016. Which was the first triple century of the pink ball. This is Warner's highest score in Test cricket. His highest score before this was 253 runs, which he made against New Zealand in the Test played in Perth in 2015.

In Adelaide, he completed his 300 runs with a four. Warner has made several big records as soon as he hit a triple century. This is the highest score by a batsman in Test cricket at Adelaide Oval. Earlier this record was in the name of Don Bradman. Bradman scored 299 not out against South Africa 88 years ago in 1931–1932. Warner also completed his double century on the second day. Even in the first Test against Pakistan, Warner had scored an excellent century. In the first Test, he scored 154 runs. David Warner is the sixth batsman in the world to cross the 300-run mark in the Pink Ball Test.

David Warner has scored four centuries in the last five innings played against Pakistan. David Warner has been ranked fifth in the list of most Test centuries as an opener. Warner ahead of Sunil Gavaskar (33), Alastair Cook (31), Matthew Hayden (30) and Graeme Smith (27). Warner has become the second Australian batsman to score 300 against Pakistan. Before that, Mark Taylor scored an unbeaten 334 in Peshawar in 1998. Warner is the fourth Australian opener to score a triple century. The 33-year-old Warner became the 16th batsman to score a triple century as an opener. He is the fourth batsman to score a triple century against Pakistan. With this, he is the fourth batsman in the opener for Australia and the seventh batsman overall to score a triple century.
