New Delhi: Australia head coach Justine Langer has said that if Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma do not play in the first two matches of the Test series, then it will not have any effect on the mentality of the hosts. Langer said the limited-overs series in the last few years between the two teams would help the team. When asked Langer if Rohit and Ishant's absence in the first two Test matches will make a difference to Australia?
Responding to this, Langer said, "This is not our job. We have different challenges. We will come together as a group for the first time on the morning of the match. It's up to India what it does and who it chooses. We will not control these things. One thing I learned during the corona is that if you pay attention to things that are not in your control, you will go mad. It can choose whomever it wants."
Rohit and Ishant are currently rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy. There are reports that both these players may be out of the squad for the first two Tests as they will take time to recover and will again go through a tough quarantine. The first Test of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia starts on 17 December and the second test starts on 26 December.
