Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Dominic Thiem of Austria have descended on Melbourne court to beat each other today in the title of the first Grand Slam Australia Open of the year. Djokovic returned to the score 15–30 after two mistakes. Jan Thiem made it 30–30, but then sent a forehand long to hand Djokovic a set point. But Djokovic fought to get another set point and won the first set. The first set lasted for 52 minutes.
