New Delhi: Some of the senior players of the Kangaroo team are feeling uncomfortable about Australia's proposed tour of Pakistan in March. On January 25, Cricket Australia (CA) had said that Australia will travel to Pakistan with its full strength team. But exactly a day later, according to media reports, there are still doubts about this tour of Australia. In fact, due to the recent bomb blasts in Lahore, some Australian players are worried about security and are confused about the Pakistan tour.
Cricket Australia said in a statement that the safety of their players would be a priority for them. The Australian board also said in a statement that they and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are working with the two governments on security and the series. Australia last visited Pakistan in October-November 1998. After 24 years, Australia is once again preparing for a tour of Pakistan.
Australian team's chief selector George Bailey said, "Right now both the boards are in the process of finalising the series and the tour, as soon as everything is decided, it will be formally announced and after that the team will also be announced."
