NEW DELHI: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has affirmed his attendance at the forthcoming G20 Leaders' Summit, slated to occur on September 9-10 in New Delhi.

Addressing the significance of the G20 Leader's Summit, PM Albanese emphasized the heightened importance of Australia collaborating closely with its international counterparts. "The Indo-Pacific region holds our steadfast commitment," remarked the Australian Prime Minister, underscoring Australia's dedication to fostering growth, stability, sovereignty, and enduring peace in the region.

The G20 member nations collectively account for approximately 85 percent of the world's GDP, over 75 percent of global trade, and encompass nearly two-thirds of the global population. Notable members of the Group of Twenty (G-20) include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Turkey, the UK, the US, and the European Union.

In recent developments, Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, expressed that India's chosen theme for its G20 presidency, "One Earth, One Family, One Future," has garnered widespread approval. He conveyed that this theme aligns with India's cultural ethos of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which has resonated across various initiatives integrated into the G20 agenda.

Furthermore, P K Mishra, the Prime Minister's principal secretary, shared insights after the second session of India's G20 Presidency's Coordination Committee. He disclosed that a comprehensive total of 185 G20-related meetings, including 13 at ministerial levels, have concluded, encompassing the majority of states and union territories within the country. He added that these discussions have led to the adoption of 12 outcome documents and an additional 12 consensus-backed deliverables.
