Mumbai: Mumbai's Kalamboli Police has arrested a 23-year-old auto driver for kidnapping and sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. According to the police, the girl was kidnapped from her house in Kalamboli on the pretext of feeding her chicken and then left after sexually assaulting her inside a car in Kharghar.

The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Prakash Chandrabhushan Bisukarma. The accused had seen the victim and her two brothers roaming around at a fair in Kalamboli near their house. The accused promised to feed chicken to all three and asked them to sit in his auto rickshaw. Zone II Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivraj Patil said that, the accused parked his auto in Kharghar and then took the children in a car and went a little further asked the boys to get down and took the girl near a garage in Sector 3 of Kharghar. took away and sexually assaulted her inside the car.

Meanwhile, both the boys reached back home and informed the parents about the incident. The parents reached the Kalamboli police station and informed that the girl was kidnapped. The girl, who was released after being sexually assaulted, was spotted by another auto driver, who took her to Kharghar police station. Patil said that Kharghar police got in touch with Kalamboli police and handed over the girl to them. The girl then told what had happened to her and the police started investigation at the place where the girl was found. After this the people near the garage identified the accused and later he was arrested.
