Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that by December 1, all the highways toll booths will be given free fasts. The NHI has said that Fastag will also get an additional discount of Rs 150 if it is linked to 'My Fastag App' wallet. From December 1 this year, the National Highways Authority of India (NHI) is going to connect every toll plaza in the country's highway with Fastag. Now payment on toll plaza will be taken by Fastag. Fastags are sold in a total of 28,000 centers in Dash. They are also being sold at banks, RTOs or official centers. You can also buy Fastag on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Paytm.

Fastag is a digital sticker that will be pasted onto the glass of vehicles. Fastag radio frequency will be based on identification technology. NHAI has directed the banks associated with this scheme to issue FASTAG for free from November 22 to December 1. At present, there are 335-336 toll plazas in the country which have electronic or cashless toll collection facilities. This arrangement has been aimed at promoting cashless payments and eliminating congestion in toll plaza. When the trains pass through the toll plaza, toll tax will be paid automatically from the bank or prepaid account associated with Fastag.
