NEW DELHI: Advocate Rajiv Dhawan, who is lobbying for the Muslim side in the Ayodhya Ram temple and Babri Masjid case, has filed a contempt petition in the Supreme Court against a professor. In fact, an 88-year-old professor cursed him. In a letter to Dhawan on August 14, 88-year-old Professor N Shanmugam, a resident of Chennai, said, "From February 1941 till today, I have chanted Gayatri Mantra 50 lakh times.'

In his letter, he further said, "From September 1958 till today, I have recited the tenth chapter of the Gita 27 thousand times. With my own tongue, I curse you to obstruct God's work to stop speaking your tongue. Your feet stop working. Your eyesight may go away. Your ears stop hearing. Dhawan says professors are obstructing the work of justice. '

Apart from this, a person from Rajasthan has sent a message on WhatsApp to Dhawan Saheb that when you die, Ram name will not be called Satya in your last journey. Dhawan has asked the Supreme Court to take contempt action against the two. Senior advocate and Congress leader Kapil Sibal has helped in preparing the petition. It also says that the Attorney General did not get the necessary approval to file a contempt petition as Attorney General Venugopal had once served as counsel for the UP government in the Ayodhya case.
