New Delhi: The central government has intensified work on its ambitious project to provide housing to all. The central government is rapidly approving state residential projects for this. The Centre has also allocated more than 15,000 crore rupees for the construction of these pucca houses. The Central Government's share in it will be Rs 4482 crore. Uttar Pradesh has been the top performer in building houses for the urban poor.

149 proposals were sent from the State Government, including the draft for construction of 45770 houses. A total of Rs 13.96 crore will be spent on their construction. It is the highest as compared to other States. The second place is taken by Andhra Pradesh, but now the State is not participating. That is, it does not need a house in this scheme. 12.48 lakh houses have already been sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh under the scheme. A total of 62 proposals were sent from Maharashtra, of which 1.23 lakh houses are to be constructed.

They have also been sanctioned. The proposal for 11.20 lakh houses was approved for these proposals. The draft to build a total of 88.16 lakh houses has been given the green signal so far, for which a total of Rs 1.12 crore has been sought. The 46th meeting of the Central Approval and Monitoring Committee (CSMC), chaired by Urban Development Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, approved 865 proposals from 10 states on Friday. These include proposals to build a total of three lakh houses. Mishra said the ministry will meet PM Modi's target at all costs.
