Noida: Even after the stringent orders of UP's DGP and IG Meerut Range, the rumours of child theft are not being curbed. On Wednesday evening, a man carrying his four children in a car in the village of Kulsera was beaten up by people after misunderstanding him as child thief. The injured person has been admitted to a nearby hospital. Police rushed to the spot on a tip-off but the accused absconded.
Police have arrested three accused on the basis of information. The other accused are being identified. Ramesh Chand, in-charge of the Kulesara outpost, said that Kishan, a resident of Jewar, works as a mason. On Wednesday evening, Kishan had taken two of his children and two children of his son-in-law in a Centro car to visit a relative's house in the village of Kulesra. In the meantime, the children took to the street to eat samosa.
Kishan then left the children in the car and went to the shop to pick up 'samosas'. He was standing on the street giving samosa to his children in the car when some locals blew up the rumour of child theft. Crowds gathered on the spot. The people then thrashed Kishan badly. However, as soon as the information came in, the police rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital.
