New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, has announced plans for a nationwide health screening program aimed at early detection of diseases and enhancing overall well-being. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the 7th International Health and Wellness Expo, a three-day event held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

The minister highlighted the government's commitment to promoting a healthier India through the Ayush Ministry's initiatives. Speaking at the event, Jadhav said, "The Ayush Ministry is soon set to launch a comprehensive health screening and checkup program across the country. This initiative will help in the early diagnosis of diseases and contribute significantly to the well-being of our citizens."

The expo features 91 stalls showcasing a wide range of Ayush practices, including Ayurveda, horticulture, and wellness. The event has garnered participation from both state and central government ministries, as well as private organizations, reflecting its importance in the health and wellness sector.

A key attraction of the expo is a three-day seminar on holistic health, led by experts in Ayush, which has attracted thousands of students. The seminar aims to educate and inspire the younger generation about the benefits of traditional health practices.

The expo also emphasizes the promotion of medicinal plants, with a focus on making India self-reliant in this essential sector. Several prominent institutions, including CSIR, MDES, ICAR, NRDC, CDB, and the National Medicinal Plants Board, are actively participating in the event. Additionally, Ayush universities, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), and students from the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) are contributing to the success of the expo.

Vijay Sharma, Chairman of the Namo Gange Trust, along with other trust members, warmly welcomed the esteemed guests, including several Padma Shri awardees and renowned doctors in the Ayush field.

The 7th International Health and Wellness Expo is being celebrated as the largest exhibition of Ayush practices in India, marking a significant step toward raising global awareness about traditional Indian health practices.
