In the movie 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', Koshi is a retired constable who comes to Ooty from his native Kattappana on his way to Attuadi, a non-alcoholic region. Ayyappan arrests him under Nair and chaos ensues. The arrest exposes Koshi's arrogance, the son of Kurien John (Ranjith), a typical poisonous masculine Acharya of a higher order. After promising his wife and daughters that he would return home for Christmas, Koshi will now be held in jail for almost two weeks without bail. The moment he gets bail, he starts working towards revenge. When things question his deeds, the apparent service record of Ayyappan Nair, who was to receive a Police Medal from the Chief Minister, should be screened.

The director manages to capture the audience in that charming mood from beginning to end. The three-hour-long film writer and director Saxi has written a story that tells the struggle of an honest police officer. Everything gives importance to humanity and how he transforms a rich, spoiled woman and brings her into reality.
Bala directed movie is to release soon
Jacques Bejoy naturalized the film by blending it very well with Sudeep Almon's visuals, adding fresh art direction to Mohandas and Attapadi of greenery and light and shade with his music. Folk elements in BGM require a mention. In addition to a carefully written script with interesting characterization, casting is a bonus. While Prithviraj and Biju Menon enter the new decade with impressive performances, Ranjith graciously gave life to Kurian John. Gauri Nanda portrayed Kannamma perfectly and is a strong character.
