Lucknow: Senior leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and sitting MLA Azam Khan, who was released from jail after two and a half years, did not attend the party meeting. This meeting was called under the leadership of SP President Akhilesh Yadav, in which all the MLAs and MLCs of SP were to attend. In such a situation, Azam Khan and his close MLAs kept distance from Akhilesh's meeting. Not only Azam and his son Abdullah but also MLAs like Naseer Ahmed Khan and Shahjeel Islam did not attend this meeting.
Instead of attending Akhilesh Yadav's meeting, Azam Khan camped in Rampur. At this time Azam is meeting his close ones and their families. On Sunday, Azam met Guddu Masood, imprisoned in Rampur jail, and also discussed with SP MLA Shahjeel Islam from Bareilly. Earlier in the night, Azam Khan also had a meeting with Maulana Tauqir Raza of Bareilly. In this way, Azam Khan, after being released from jail, has started weaving the political fabric of Muslim politics from once.
On the question of displeasure with Akhilesh Yadav, Azam Khan said, 'I am getting information of displeasure from you. I need a basis to be angry, I myself am baseless, so where will that basis come from, what is my own basis. I am not in a position to be angry with anyone. On the question of Akhilesh not coming for the meeting, Azam Khan replied that, 'I will neither comment on anyone's arrival nor on anyone's absence, thank those who came, those who did not come, there must have been a reason for them. Thanks too. He said that we have no complaint against anyone. What SP and leaders of other parties did for us was no less.
