Lucknow: Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former minister Azam Khan is being brought to be produced before a CBI court in Lucknow today. SP MLA Azam Khan, who has been serving a sentence in Sitapur jail for the past 28 months, is being brought to the capital Lucknow today. Earlier, the Supreme Court had sought a response from the Uttar Pradesh government in Azam Khan's bail case.

Azam Khan has a total of 88 cases registered against him, out of which he has been granted bail in 87 cases. He was recently granted interim bail by the Allahabad High Court in the 87th case. During this time, the High Court had made a scathing comment on Azam Khan, saying that Azam had misused his position while he was drunk with power, but due to his age, he was being granted bail.

For Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, who has been granted bail in 87 cases, the new 88th case remains a big problem. Due to this case, they are not being released. Azam Khan and his family were booked in a big way in 2019. There were 87 cases pending against him, out of which only one was yet to be granted bail. But this 88th case has put him in trouble again.
