Azam Khan will remain in jail for now, hearing on bail again in High Court tomorrow

New Delhi: Azam Khan, who has been serving a sentence in jail for almost 26 months, is once again disappointed. In fact, the Allahabad High Court has not yet given any decision on his bail plea. Today the UP government has filed an affidavit in the High Court in this matter. The matter will be heard again in the High Court tomorrow. According to the information received, the hearing will be held tomorrow at 3.30 pm.

Earlier, the lawyer of Samajwadi Party (SP) stalwart Azam Khan had petitioned the Supreme Court for an early decision on Azam Khan's bail. On which hearing could not take place on May 2. Today the High Court has given the date for hearing in the enemy property case. The UP government has filed its affidavit on this today. The hearing in this case was completed on December 4 last year. The court had then reserved its decision on the matter.

Let us inform that a total of 72 cases are registered against SP MLA Azam Khan. He has already got bail in 71 of these cases. He has not been able to get bail only in the enemy property case. This case was registered against him at Azimnagar police station in 2019. Azam Khan was accused of capturing enemy property and getting it merged with Jauhar University. The police had also filed a charge sheet in this case.
