Lucknow: Voting is going on for the Lok Sabha by-election in Rampur. Meanwhile, Azam Khan has taken a jibe at the government over the action of detaining the activists and leaders of the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday night. Azam Khan while talking to the media said, 'Who is a bigger criminal than us? So do whatever you want with us. Hens, goats, buffaloes, books and furniture are accused of theft, so our city has also been forbidden to do the same, so do whatever it wants...we have to endure.'
Azam Khan said that we have been awake all night and our candidates have gone to all the police stations of Parliament. The most indecent behavior was done by the Inspector of Police Station Ganj and also beat up the people. If the vote percentage is dropped, then the entire blame will fall on the administration. Let us inform that strict security arrangements have been made during the voting in Rampur by-election. Apart from the Civil Police, CRPF, Para Military Force have been deployed outside the polling booths.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has appealed to the people to vote. He has written in his tweet that, 'Every woman, farmer, youth should go ahead and vote.' Let us tell you that along with Rampur, voting is going on for the by-election in Azamgarh as well. Both these seats are considered to be the stronghold of SP, now it will be interesting to see who wins in this election.
